The FBI’s Uniform Crime Reporting (UCR) program collects information about crimes committed by local, state, university and college, tribal, and federal law enforcement agencies. It includes data on the number of crimes committed, known offenders, relationships between victims and offenders, as well as other details about individual offenses such as weapons violations, hate crimes, burglary, and larceny-theft. UCR also provides preliminary semiannual reports of summary data, and special reports and studies.
